Governance
The Governance Committee works with university senate and faculty council bylaws in several ways. Among its responsibilities:
- Interpret existing university senate and faculty council bylaws, as needed
- Review senate, faculty council bylaws annually
- Consider bylaw amendments proposed by membership of these respective bodies
- Recommend amendments to bylaws for approval by these respective bodies
- Ensure consistency of senate and faculty council bylaws with University Bylaws
