University Senate In-Person Meeting – What to Know Before You Arrive
As we prepare for next month’s in-person Senate meetings, here are a few important details to help you plan your visit and make the most of the experience.
Location & Access
- Meeting Room: Room 208, Convocation Hall
- Building Access: Convocation Hall may be locked. Please enter using the main entrance on the quad.
- Check-In Table: Lisa Parker will assist you. Pick up your name tag upon arrival.
Timing
- The space opens at 2:30 PM to allow time for check-in and settling in.
- The meeting will begin promptly at 3:00 PM.
Facilities
- Restrooms and a water fountain are located to the right as you enter.
- Room 208 is to the left.
After the Meeting
- Please return your name tag to the check-in table before you leave.
What to Bring
- Emory ID – May be required for building access and check-in.
- Photo Release Form – Meetings are recorded and may include photography. Please be sure you have completed the form and emailed your completed form to universitysenate@emory.edu
During the Meeting
- Use the microphones when speaking to ensure clear audio for recordings and remote attendees.
- The meeting will be recorded for transparency and archival purposes.
Refreshments
- Drinks and light bites will be provided.
Hybrid Access
- A webinar link will be available for audience viewing.
- In-person attendance is required for Senate members.

- The Senate website is being updated with new content and committee roster changes.
